Technical Cam Selection & Custom Cam Development Support for Die Designers
Selecting the correct cam unit requires more than checking only the catalog size. ATD TECH reviews the working angle, required stroke, processing force, installation space, return method and operating conditions to recommend a suitable cam concept and model. When standard cam units cannot satisfy the die structure or stamping conditions, we also study and develop new custom cam specifications for die-design customers.
What We Propose
Recommended cam type and size, basic capacity suitability, installation considerations and alternative concepts when space or force is limited.

- Panel 3D CAD data (STEP format)
- Material grade & thickness
- Preferred cam type (Aerial or Die-mounted)
- Any special stamping conditions or die design requirements
Custom Cam Research & Development
When a dedicated cam is required because of special die structures, restricted installation space, unusual working angles, high processing forces, special return timing or other stamping conditions, ATD TECH can review, research and develop a new cam specification in cooperation with the die-design customer.
Service notice:
Preliminary cam selection and feasibility review are provided free of charge based on the information supplied by the customer.
Where a new dedicated cam specification is required, ATD TECH can review the concept and discuss a separate research,
development and commercialization process. Final die design, interference checks, safety factors and production validation
remain the responsibility of the customer or die manufacturer.
